I made a short video to show how to find adverbs in a sentence. This should help with the worksheet assigned today.
Adverbs Tell How, When, and Where
I made another brief video showing how to compare decimal fractions. I hope this helps with today's math assignment.

Is that a noun or an adjective??? Help!
This reference was found on a website that I feel made parts of speech clear. It tells what each one is, what it does, and gives examples. If you find this helpful, go check out the website:

Faster than the speed of light!
February has flown by! It actually seems like time is traveling at the speed of light, which we just finished learning about in science. It won't be long before the end of this quarter, and soon after that we'll be on spring break!
You have probably heard the great news that Addison Elementary earned our STEM certification. It was a long process that involved every person in the entire school. We should all be proud of our hard work and dedication. If you would like to see a video that encapsulates the experience, check this out:

Our students really seemed to enjoy our STEM challenge last week. Their task was to create a board game that would teach people about the water cycle. Ask your child to share all the details with you! As always, they had time constraints, building parameters, and they all had access to the same materials. Mrs. Bocarro and I felt the teams were, overall, more productive and worked better and more cooperatively this time than they have so far this year. It is gratifying to see them progress through the year, and learn that using the skills and abilities of each of their group mates helps them have a better end product.
